New Belimo Pressure Independent Airflow Measurement and Control Actuators
The new Belimo airflow measurement systems and control actuators are available for purchase at T.F. Campbell Company. The control actuators feature digital communications for rotary, duct, and linear use. Some actuators feature a pressure independent control setting with a differential pressure sensor to calculate flow, even with pressure fluctuations. This actuator then reports to the Building Automation System (BAS) utilizing BACnet, Modbus, or MP-Bus. Select models have Near Field Communication (NFC) for fast troubleshooting or programming, which helps achieve the best system performance possible. This actuator is the best option for either constant or variable air volume systems, or open-loop applications.
"NFC and the Belimo Assistant App make it quick and easy for contractors and facility managers to commission, diagnose, and troubleshoot this series of damper actuators," stated Howard Smith, Belimo Product Manager. "Once VAV box parameters are known or measured, the system can be set up and calibrated simply by holding a phone up to the actuator."
